A Wedding of Our Own: September 2009
http://aweddingofourown.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
A Wedding of Our Own. Planning a wedding with unique details and a warm, laid-back vibe. Trying to figure out how to make it our own wedding that speaks to us as a couple. And doing it all on a pretty small budget. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. I will admit that I have a bit of a problem when it comes to shoes. I absolutely adore them. I have yet to own a pair of Manolo Blahniks, Jimmy Choos, or Christian Louibitons , and what better event to splurge on a pair? Feast your eyes upon these! Having him give ...

The Mad Samplers: January 2011
http://madsamplers.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
We're trying to find our favorite Madison, WI restaurant. So we're trying all 437 of them. Monday, January 31, 2011. Madison is on an isthmus. We're surrounded by lakes, we've got them coming out of our ears. I've seen lots of fish that we're medically discouraged from eating. One time, I saw a turtle from a bridge in the park near our house. Like the great fish itself, it stands majestic, alone (with Ocean Grill) at the top of the high-end seafood scene in Madison. Okay, maybe more like this local food.

Friday, March 31, 2006. The Cult of the Cannele, Part 2. Have you ever made something from a recipe following the directions to the letter and it comes out great and then you make it again using only the gist of the recipe and you fail miserably? Yeah, me too. That's what happened when I made canneles for the second time this week. Circumstances were against me. I made the batter late at night after some wine and liqueur (Hey! It was my birthday! I pulled them all out of the oven. I'd be horrible at cond...

Madison Food Review: November 2005
http://madisonfoodreview.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
A reivew of restaurants in Madison Wisconsin. Why? Because reviews by local papers are terrible. If you believed the Isthmus, you'd think this town had a ton of great places to eat. It doesn't. Why should you listen to me? I worked in the industry; I was a cook. Don't agree with me? That's what comments are for. Tuesday, November 08, 2005. But more importantly, this was NOT an aspect of the 1995 vintage (which is actually a very good one), but rather it was a problem with our bottle. Now I can unders...
