Some years ago, when I was very new to the internet, I could not find out what faq. Meant For those in that situation, the acronym translates as. Why isn't my family in EARLY SETTLERS? I can prove they were in Jefferson County by the early 1800s. Is only a convenient name we gave to a list of early settlers found in one of the Jefferson County Histories.
