The Haurata property offers two types of accommodation to suit your budget and needs. The Farm House is a four bedroom holiday home with all the luxuries. The Backpacker Cottage is basic accommodation but still provides all the amenities you need for a great walking or country holiday. Unwind in the stylish and cosy, fully self-contained farmhouse with a great wood burning fire and gas powered out-door hot tub. If organised prior to visit meals can be provided. Warwick Tombleson has been farming Aerial Station since 1973 and we married in 1982. Haurata was bought and split between Michael and Jackie Wallbank and ourselves in 2007. Warwick being a keen horseman does most of the farm work on horse back rather than motorbikes. For the last 10 years I have kept busy as an architectural designer working from home. In 1996 Jaguar and Shakahn Kukulcan bought the property and proceeded to remove all the small farm paddocks to form the 7ha grounds that are here today. The Kukulcans did a huge amount of work in the garden landscaping and planting over 600 rhododendrons, avenues of cherries, fruit trees and loads of deciduous and evergreen trees. Walking tracks were cut through a small patch of native bush down to the river. They had the place looking immaculate. The native bush was fenced off unobtusively as possible.
