Thursday, 18 July 2013. Hampton Court. Hot! Hampton Court Flower Show 2013. Just found a few moments after a very successful (if not hot) week at Hampton Court Flower Show to write a quick blog. The Palace makes a wonderful back drop to the show and over the years of exhibiting there I often wonder what Henry VIII would have thought of all the goings on in his back garden! Of course, our Penstemon flew out as they always do! Off to plan for Tatton Flower show next week now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, 26 September 2013. Let's meet up at Malvern! One of my favourite places to go at this time of year is the Malvern Autumn Show. This year it is being held on the weekend of 28 and 29 September. As ever it will be as plant-filled, action-packed and popular as ever. There are 600 trade stands in attendance this year and so much to see and do! Hayloft will be there of course. We're in RHS Floral Marquee and we would simply love to meet you. Thursday, 23 January 2014. Interesting Facts About Helleborus. Today I have learned some interesting medicinal facts about Helleborus, (though please do not try it yourself). I learned that apparently the mystery illness that caused the death of Alexander the Great, could actually have been caused by an overdose of medication containing Hellebore. The Cornish refer to Helleborus as "The virgin’s mantle". In medieval times they were said to be good for breaking bad spells and curses so were ofte...Hellebo...
