White House miniatures are a staple of presidential libraries. This one is in the lower level of the Truman Library. Truman Library in Independence, MO. Kansas City, MO. Kansas City has been the biggest surprise of the trip. It is a bustling city with several different areas that look very interesting. Wish we had more time to explore. A little bit of the crazy things going on inside my head. Sunday, October 16, 2011. Living in northwest Kansas in the Volga-German community of Hays. There are plenty of occasions to eat bierocks throughout the year. My favorites though, are the ones we make in our own kitchen. 3 lbs of hamburger. 1 medium onion, chopped. 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped.
