Questioning the norm in living a healthy cancer free life. Breast Cancer Detection & Risks. I am asked alot, how did you get cancer at 32? I wish I had that answer myself! So how was my cancer found? I very ‘luckily’ had a benign cyst on one breast that was removed a few years ago, fibroadenoma. Noninvasive, and I elected mastectomy, no chemotherapy or radiation was required. I am truly lucky and blessed. Taken birth control pills. Not having children at all or after 30. Hormone therapy after menopause.
