An oral history project chronicling stories from downtown La Crosse, announces a downtown La Crosse poetry contest. The organizers, Professors Ariel Beaujot and William Stobb, seek submissions of original poems that give voice to personal and/or public histories, or that engage downtown La Crosse landmarks or events. Winners receive cash, publication, public recognition, a commemorative broadside, and inclusion in the Hear, Here. Submit to stories@hearherelacrosse.org by March 17, 2017.

Began as a set of classes taught as part of the Public and Policy History Major/Minor. And the Photography Minor. At UWL in 2014-2015. On 12 April, 2015 the project was presented to the community as part of a downtown event. At this time we had 28. Signs up around downtown sharing stories.
