Thursday, December 18, 2008. Santa Claus is Coming to town. This afternoon, I decided to take Jason and Sarah to see Santa at our mall. We had a great time! He was beautiful and had a REAL beard! The kids loved him. Last year, Sarah wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with him and this year.she was all smiles and hugs for Santa! He was so nice to them and we didn't even have to wait in line. Sunday, May 10, 2009. A Day at the Lake.Happy Mother's Day! Yesterday, we got invited to go with our great friends, the Whitfields to the lake! We had a wonderful time! As you can see! God is like our lifejacket. I am sure that she would have been a little more nervous if she didn't have on her pink barbie life jacket. Probably clinging to mommy or the boat or whatever she could grasp onto. But, she had already been in the deep water and guess what.the life jacket held her up! She had her life jacket!

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Fall Festivities.staying BUSY! Just wanted to post some new photos for you all! So, I did. We have enjoyed a lot of family time together over the past few weeks and having nothing on our calendars as we had pretty much cleared the rest of our next 2-3 months to recover from her surgery. Looks like we'll be cleared for even longer for that and that is okay. I am thankful for every minute we get! This is a photo of Sarah and her heart friend, Mikaela! Princess pink, of course!

Monday, August 3, 2009. On Friday, July 17th, we got to go SAILING! It was the most awesome experience! Dave McCabe with "The Heart of Sailing" took us out on his sailboat with some friends of his and we had a wonderful day. Sarah and Jason will ALWAYS remember this special day. It was the most relaxing thing I've ever done, as well. None of us had ever been on a sailboat and now we want to buy one and LIVE on the water! LOL It was great! Saturday, January 23, 2010. A few weeks ago, I took Jason out to have his photos made all by himself! He got a new leather jacket for Christmas that his Pop picked out and he looked so cool in it, I thought it called for a photo shoot! I cannot believe how grown up Jason is getting. Monday, March 30, 2009. I know they KNOW it but I had to SHOW it! Sometimes, I get so busy "doing" for my family that I feel like the things I do should be looked at as "favors" from me to them. Friday, July 17, 2009. Wednesday, we met with Dr. Heinle at Texas Children's Hospital! This is the same surgeon who has done all of Sarah's open heart surgeries and has known her since birth. He has not seen her in person since she was about 8 months old and he was AMAZED at how big and great she looked today!
