Heather's home improvements: April 2011
http://heatherfulcherhi.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 18, 2011. With a wood burning fireplace inside, and an outdoor firepit in the backyard, we go through a fair amount of firewood at our house. Without the luxury of a garage for indoor firewood storage, I needed to come up with an alternative solution for covered wood storage. With very minimal supplies, I built a firewood stacker that has three functions. It creates a visual barrier to the utility area behind, hiding from view the compost, wheelbarrow and yard trimmings bin.

Heather's Creations: Refurbished bedside dresser
http://heatherfulcher.blogspot.com/2013/10/refurbished-bedside-dresser.html
Thursday, 3 October 2013. The red colour doesn't go with my decor, and since it's solid wood (not laminate), it's easy to paint over. I filled in a few nicks and scrapes with filler and sanded it flush. I glued one corner that was lifting apart, and held it to dry with a tension strap. I removed the knobs and painted them separately. I recommend doing to give you the option of changing knob styles in the future. Blog post by Heather Fulcher. Professional Organizer for Hire. Heather's home improvements: Dresser mirror painting project
http://heatherfulcherhi.blogspot.com/2015/01/dresser-mirror-painting-project.html
Sunday, January 11, 2015. Dresser mirror painting project. I purchased my bedroom dresser about five years ago from Craigslist. It didn't come with an attached mirror, but I've always thought that if I found the right mirror on Craigslist, I could complete my vision for this furniture piece. I finally found it! Taping the mirror will ensure minimal paint is left on the mirror surface. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dresser mirror painting project. View my complete profile.

Tuesday, 10 December 2013. A great way to re-use old sweaters is to turn them into throw pillows. Cardigan sweaters work especially well for this project, because of the front button closure. If you are using sweaters without button closure, you can add a hidden zipper on the bottom seam of the pillow. Blog post by Heather Fulcher. Professional Organizer for Hire. Vancouver, BC, Canada. Heather's home organization: November 2009
http://heatherfulcherho.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 15, 2009. With very limited drawer storage in our original kitchen, we needed to turn a deep pot drawer into organized storage for all of our kitchen gadgets, including knife storage. Together with my partner Rich, we designed and constructed a custom gadget storage system from plexiglass, complete with a sliding top section for the in-drawer knife block. This solution allowed us to function in the original tiny kitchen until we saved up our money to do a full kitchen remodel.
