40 Quilts: April 2015
http://nans40quilts.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Creative quilting and other crafty things. Thursday, April 23, 2015. Weekend Sew-in April 2015. This past weekend was another productive sewing weekend for me. My lovely step-daughter- Amy, her wonderful husband Paul and our adorable grandson Bennett came to stay with us for the weekend. Amy brought her sewing machine, several projects to work on and oodles of lovely fabric for me to drool over. On break times, I got to snuggle baby Bennett. The boys napped while we sewed. It was a great weekend! On Sund...

El’s Kitchen #2 | Quiltin' Kaboodle
https://quiltinkaboodle.com/2015/03/28/els-kitchen-2
Let's Create Together. El’s Kitchen #2. March 28, 2015. This is El’s Kitchen #2 (Carol’s quilt). The real challenge with this quilt was to be sure the quilting was different but with the same quality. A couple of the blocks just couldn’t be changed much at all but most of them were open for alternate quilting designs. Here are the blocks, see what you think. The center basket block was challenging, so instead of straight lines in the background I used little wiggly lines. I like how it turned out. You ar...

Sunday, August 14, 2011. Empty Nest - Again. Hello, to all my friends! I realize that I have been missing from our blogging community for about two years. Which surprisingly coincides closely to the time our 16-year-old granddaughter came to live with us. Now, I have raised two sons, so I have faced the trials of the teenage years - I am no novice to child-rearing. But these last two years have been about anticipation (of everything) and mixed emotions (about everything)! Junior, majoring in microbiology...

40 Quilts: December 2012
http://nans40quilts.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Creative quilting and other crafty things. Wednesday, December 26, 2012. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I am working on the binding for the charity quilt I am making and wanted to show you what I am doing. In this next photo I drew another line a half inch towards the corner and then stitched on both of these lines. I then cut a quarter inch from the first line which gave a quarter inch seam to the binding and a quarter inch seam to the triangle.. I pressed the seam open.. Links to this post.

Hazel Dell Quilts: Beautiful!
http://hazeldellquilts.blogspot.com/2015/08/beautiful.html
A record of my sewing/quilting projects. Thursday, August 6, 2015. My friend Cathy and I met so I could pick up the border sections she was embroidering for me. Beautiful! I love how they look. She took it a little further than me, as she knows what her machine can do and the results are amazing to me. Love the little flower she added to the side. I can hardly wait to get a few of these to the finish line, they are going to be so cool! Labels: retreat table toppers. August 6, 2015 at 9:18 PM. Taking a li...
