The Island of Barra is in the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Transportation links from the mainland are provided by Caledonian MacBraynes. Ferries from Oban and a daily flybe plane from Glasgow . PLEASE NOTE: to travel from Barra to Oban on a Saturday in summer it will be necessary to take the short crossing from Ardmhor to Eriskay and then drive to Lochboisdale to catch the Oban ferry from there.
