Wednesday, 7 May 2014. A weekend in the countryside . It was another bank holiday here in the UK so we packed our belongings in the car along with Ernie and headed off to Battle on the Sussex Coast to join my mum and dad in their caravan for the weekend. We arrived about 8.30pm and settled in for the night. The nights are drawing in and its now dark by 5pm! Winter is on her way and i can feel her icy claws creeping up on us. Monday, 30 September 2013. What a lovely weekend, we had a roast, walked to the allotment at dusk and harvested the carrots as the sun was setting. We watched season 2 of Game of Thrones and just generally relaxed. It was needed! Thursday, 1 May 2014. Living off the land. Happy 1st of May, where is this year going? True to style May has welcomed us with a day of torrential rain and clouds :( but hey ho who gives a damn we have a three day weekend coming up! We have been busy bee's down the allotment lately, planting our early potatoes, onions, peas and broad beans. We already had leeks garlic and all the fruit trees planted ready to pop with fruit. Wednesday, 26 June 2013. A classic car show . This post is a little overdue but hey lets roll with it! A few weekends ago i took the motor and headed to Bromley for the classic car show held there every year. It was a chilly day but a great day out spotting all the strange colors and shapes of different cars and envying all the beautiful vw campervans.one day .one day! Tuesday, 3 December 2013. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Well not long now until Christmas! The count down has begun and i'm all excited. We have bought our little tree, settled him in with a bit of water and then set about decorating him and the house on Sunday with Christmas songs blaring and the Christmas pud mix bubbling away in its bainmarie. Friday, 10 January 2014. The Christmas that was. Well the Christmas period is over and we welcome in the shiny new feeling of the New Year. I have tidied away the decorations, the tree has been removed to a pot outside in the garden to try and revive itself and perk up a little. Friday, 26 July 2013. The Isle that is Wight. On Sunday the 7th of July we packed up all our belongings, Ernie Frank and our selves and headed off with our tents and cars bulging to catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight.
