Life Lessons: May 2010
http://tumblintumbleweeds.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Living day-to-day with cancer. Saturday, May 8, 2010. Julie's shower in St. Paul was a success. Julie's future sister-in-law Tina did a great job of putting it all together and Julie was really happy with the results. Sandy is feeling well, so life is going on as usual for us. We have only to think back on what we were doing last year at this time to appreciate how pleasant "life as usual" can be! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Living day-to-day with cancer. Friday, July 31, 2009. Thursday the 30th was Sandy's last day of chemo . for now. After we finished, which was around 1 o'clock, we drove to one of Sandy's favorite places in all of Chicago, Ghirardelli's Chocolate Shop, where she got her favorite, a chocolate soda. Then we went to Sam's Club to stock up on basic supplies, then home. There was one final thing to do on Sandy's last chemo day:. Links to this post. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Chemo Day 6 - Last One. Life Lessons: Riding with Scot and Ava
http://tumblintumbleweeds.blogspot.com/2010/08/riding-with-scot-and-ava.html
Living day-to-day with cancer. Sunday, August 15, 2010. Riding with Scot and Ava. One of my most favorite times during my stay in Woodbury was a bike ride with Scot and Ava. Scot had attached a trailer of sorts to the back of his bike to accommodate Ava. She helped pedal, she had great balance, and she sometimes locked her knees against the frame and held out her arms as if she were on the prow of the Titanic churning through the sea. Then we stopped at Colby Lake Park for about half an hour.

Life Lessons: December 2009
http://tumblintumbleweeds.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Living day-to-day with cancer. Friday, December 18, 2009. I made an appointment on Monday and he was put down today, on Friday. I pampered him all week while telling Sandy nothing about the appointment until she came home from work this evening. We'll miss him, and we guess that Bandit will miss him, too. The good news is that Sandy is still very much in remission. The CA-125 score that must be below 35 to be in a "no-cancer" range was nine. 9! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Life Lessons: Remission
http://tumblintumbleweeds.blogspot.com/2010/11/remission.html
Living day-to-day with cancer. Friday, November 19, 2010. Between readings. Nothing like that has happened so far. I figure that if it continues to go up 4 points a year it will be 2016 before it hits 35. I'm also hopeful that this will not happen, that she'll remain cancer-free. November 20, 2010 at 1:40 PM. Great news - hugs to both of you :-). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Hot, hot, hot! FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed.

Life Lessons: The Elroy Sparta State Trail
http://tumblintumbleweeds.blogspot.com/2010/08/elroy-sparta-state-trail.html
Living day-to-day with cancer. Sunday, August 15, 2010. The Elroy Sparta State Trail. For several years Ted and I had wanted to ride this trail. We had driven the three hours to the trail a few years ago, only to find that Elroy and the trail were flooded. The trail was closed. I had to rip the cover off the steering column to access a button that would release the shift lever. What does make the trail exceptional are three tunnels along the way. Two of them are a quarter mile long. Degrees outside, it's...

Our Little Sweet Pea: Willy & Pepe
http://our--little--sweet--pea.blogspot.com/2008/08/laurens-aunite-ja-ja-got-new-welsh.html
Sunday, August 31, 2008. Lauren's Auntie Ja-Ja got a new Welsh Corgi puppy this week and named him Willy (short for William.) We all fell in love with him and his rabbit-like ears! Ja-Ja has been busy teaching Willy to. Go pee pee outside. I'm not sure he's getting the idea. By the time Lauren found Pepe (the new cat,) she had apparently forgotten the Be Gentle with Animals. Poor, poor Pepe. Rebecca - I'm a Canon girl! August 31, 2008 at 12:01 PM. August 31, 2008 at 7:58 PM. September 1, 2008 at 8:01 AM.
