Different country, same Crazytown. Monday, May 20, 2013. The first graders at Ava's school had their Spelling Bee qualifying round on Friday. The top 4 spellers advance to the all school Spelling Bee on May 28th. 1st and 2nd graders will compete against each other then. Wednesday, May 01, 2013. Field trip for Reese. Different country, same Crazytown. Saturday, April 20, 2013. Last week, Reese and her cohorts took a rollerblading class at a local sport center. On Friday, parents were invited to watch them show off their skills and receive a diploma. Reese did a great job, given that she had no skating or skiing experience prior to this class, which many of the other kids did have. I was very proud of how hard she worked her little legs! Different country, same Crazytown. Sunday, January 27, 2013. On January 14th, Zagreb recorded its biggest snowfall in 87 years, topping out at around 26 inches. Apparently we brought some Minnesota with us. . With this much snow, you might as well build a luge. This is the street Reese's school is on. It's barely wide enough for 2 cars when there isn't any snow.and then it looked like this. Fortunately, a weekend of rain has washed most of the snow away. Here are my favorites. After we finished, which was around 1 o'clock, we drove to one of Sandy's favorite places in all of Chicago, Ghirardelli's Chocolate Shop, where she got her favorite, a chocolate soda. Living day-to-day with cancer. Sunday, August 15, 2010. Riding with Scot and Ava. One of my most favorite times during my stay in Woodbury was a bike ride with Scot and Ava. Scot had attached a trailer of sorts to the back of his bike to accommodate Ava. She helped pedal, she had great balance, and she sometimes locked her knees against the frame and held out her arms as if she were on the prow of the Titanic churning through the sea. Then we stopped at Colby Lake Park for about half an hour.

I pampered him all week while telling Sandy nothing about the appointment until she came home from work this evening. We'll miss him, and we guess that Bandit will miss him, too. The good news is that Sandy is still very much in remission. The CA-125 score that must be below 35 to be in a "no-cancer" range was nine. 9! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
