Thursday, August 23, 2012. New Product Photos From India. This week I photographed some products that came from India. Above you will see one composition that I created with a distant shot of a scarf (flush left) and then a detailed photo of it (flush right). After photographing it in various ways (I took a total of 20 shots with different lighting schemes) I selected the two photos above, edited them in post production so they popped a bit more, and laid them out in a spread, which you can see above.

Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Last week the studio was asked by a new designer, Hibou. To shoot 15 dog collars, front and back. These photos will be used for their website-to-be and look book. The owner wanted a very natural, simple look. We photographed these on a white background and elevated the collars on acrylic cubes. Then in post production the cubes were removed. Thursday, June 7, 2012. Studio Moved New Website. It has been awhile since I've written content on my blog. Like most things in life, there is a reason. After living and working in NYC for 12 years I have moved to Pound Ridge, NY to live and work in an environment that provides more space to photograph and design. Working in this space is beneficial because I can shoot more and if a client needs me to come in to help them complete a job I can because my studio is only an hour outside of the city.

Thursday, September 20, 2012. New Photos Of Home Accessories Designed By Jayes Studio. Last week the studio had a two day photo shoot that was very successful. The client Johnny from Jayes Studio. And I photographed 203 home accessories from their collection on a white background. We used a Hasselblad H3D. 3 strobes, gobos, reflectors and white plexiglass to get the effect above.
