My (hopefully) epic travels. Thursday, 10 November 2011. Washington. What an interesting place. My first day there, I went into the centre of DC and had a good stroll up and down the National Mall. I saw the Washington monument (the highest free-standing masonry structure in the world! And then moved on to the Lincoln Memorial, which is pretty cool. Don't really have the cash on me for a full update now, but so far today I have been on the Staten Island ferry (I thought the Statue of Liberty was slightly less impressive than I thought it would be), strolled up 5th Ave, wandered around East Village and been for a morning run through Central Park.
