St Ewe parish and this picturesque little village lie in the agricultural area west of Mevagissey. An attractive village with a 14th century church. The church of All Saints has a carved octagonal spire, and inside the church are the village stocks, and a rood screen that is the only one in Cornwall to have survived the attentions of Cromwell's soldiers. East of St Ewe is Heligan House, built in the late 17th century. The extensive Lost Gardens of Heligan. Have been restored and are now open to the public.
