Erm, where are we again?: What? oh damn!
http://dave-travellog.blogspot.com/2009/07/what-oh-damn.html
Erm, where are we again? Monday, 27 July 2009. I forgot to post the end! On the last day we were lucky enough that the Hostel would let us keep our bags there. We went to one more temple, but we knew that we couldn't leave our bags there for too long and made the journey back to the airport. So, I go and try to say something and the guy reaches for some colour coded cards and reads a message that says something like "you cannot be here, please come with us". We get herded around like unwanted vagrants to...

Erm, where are we again?: Paihia, falling from the sky and hot springs galore...
http://dave-travellog.blogspot.com/2009/04/paihia-falling-from-sky-and-hot-springs.html
Erm, where are we again? Wednesday, 8 April 2009. Paihia, falling from the sky and hot springs galore. Before we set off to Paihia in our newly acquired car, Helen had done the rounds around our hostel seeing if anyone else wanted to tag along with us, asking one person in particular we saw who we assumed was quiet and reserved but unfortunately he had already arranged travel. We got picked up at 12 with a group of people, 6 of us in total and drove to the airport/skydiving place, now there are 3 levels ...

Erm, where are we again?: April 2009
http://dave-travellog.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Erm, where are we again? Wednesday, 29 April 2009. Start of South Island until Christchurch. Eventually getting to our hostel, Abel Tazman National Park was our goal in the area, a nice bit of trekking was planned, planned being the main word because due to laziness, tiredness and many other such inflictions we never actually went there (And in Helen's defense, she blames our laziness and not hers). After walking around further, we saw a point that went out covered in rocks, where a guy was taking closer...

Erm, where are we again?: Banks peninsula until the end of NZ
http://dave-travellog.blogspot.com/2009/05/banks-peninsula-until-end-of-nz.html
Erm, where are we again? Sunday, 10 May 2009. Banks peninsula until the end of NZ. We first went to a little Village called Barry's bay, unfortunately when we just parked outside our hostel (Halfmoon Cottage) our car ceased up and wouldn't budge a inch. I called the car hire comapny and thankfully it seems that the car company had ill-advised Helen on how to drive the Automatic car, in case you have never been in a automatic car, the car has P, R and D for Park, Reverse and Drive and it also had 2 and L.

Erm, where are we again?: Rotorua and Taupo and beyond...
http://dave-travellog.blogspot.com/2009/04/rotorua-and-taupo-and-beyond.html
Erm, where are we again? Monday, 20 April 2009. Rotorua and Taupo and beyond. After getting back from Hot Water beach, I unfortunately got sand in my eye (It sounds less dramatic than it was by far) and Stephen was suffering from some kind of reaction to being attacked by a savage bug of a unknown origin, and in the morning Helen and Stephen got rudely awoken by some loud kids in the hostel. In Taupo, we stayed at Rainbow Lodge, which apparently is a popular skydiving place as plenty of t-shirts in the h...

Erm, where are we again?: February 2009
http://dave-travellog.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Erm, where are we again? Tuesday, 24 February 2009. After the short spell of good weather we had at Murwillumbah (The place where Mt Warning was) Helen mentioned that she wanted to spend her birthday somewhere tropical, after talking to a few of the backpackers in the area, we decided to go to Fraser Island, a beach island resort off the coast of Hervey Bay. So we set off early on yet another long coach journey to Hervey bay, where we stayed over night and got early transport via ferry to Fraser Island.

Erm, where are we again?: Tokyo arrival and stuff done
http://dave-travellog.blogspot.com/2009/05/tokyo-arrival-and-stuff-done.html
Erm, where are we again? Monday, 11 May 2009. Tokyo arrival and stuff done. We arrived and finally got through Tokyo Customs by 7am. Unfortunately though, our hostel we'd hastily booked a few nights before doesn't check in until 3pm, and we are tired, have heavy bags we are not used to carrying and so on. In the end, we hung around the airport until about 11am, and decided to make our way to the hostel as we'd read on their website they can hold baggage for us. Picture this, there is a hole in the wall w...

Erm, where are we again?: Gravity Canyon and the end of the north Island
http://dave-travellog.blogspot.com/2009/04/gravity-canyon-and-end-of-north-island.html
Erm, where are we again? Friday, 24 April 2009. Gravity Canyon and the end of the north Island. Gravity Canyon is a remote adrenaline Junkee paradise, it has three attractions: A flying Fox ride, where upto 3 people get straped up, put into a belly hammock and dropped down a cable at speeds of upto 100mph (fun huh? As I mentioned before, flying into a canyon (And I don't think there is such a thing as a small canyon) was something I wasn't too keen with, in fact my actual words woulda made Tarantino proud.
