Living Large: July 2010
http://inabus.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Life is what you make it. The chances that you take. Your willingness to learn. You don't often regret what you try but you regret what you let slip by. Monday, July 26, 2010. Dreams and failures seem to come to us together. No dream ever is more than a dream until action is taken. When action is taken failure will happen. Failure. Breakdowns, hardships, good time, new friends, faith, sadness, hunger and plenty have come our way and more. Join me in remembering this journey. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Living Large: February 2012

Life is what you make it. The chances that you take. Your willingness to learn. You don't often regret what you try but you regret what you let slip by. Thursday, February 16, 2012. I was talking on the phone to young lady who told me that she was "stuck in life". One of her questions during the very long conversation about some fairly deep subject was then "WHY TRY? Well WHY NOT TRY? How did it get to be this way? Where is the adventure in that? The truth is I have found a lot of answers in life for man...

Freedom to Birth: .....Waiting on a baby........
http://freedomtobirth.blogspot.com/2012/01/waiting-on-baby.html
How we choose to give birth is worth fighting for. Monday, January 23, 2012. Waiting on a baby. One of the things that our culture here in the United States does not do well is wait. We are a culture of fast everything. The faster the better whether the fast compromises to integrity of what we want or not. We are busy people who have many things to do and few things if any, should interrupt our schedules. Days of pre-labor contraction with our Estimated Due Date. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Freedom to Birth: Tragedy, Death, Injury & Birth
http://freedomtobirth.blogspot.com/2011/08/tragedy-death-injury-birth.html
How we choose to give birth is worth fighting for. Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Tragedy, Death, Injury and Birth. Recently in the part of the birth world I see there has been some tragedy. I know that she is in a wheelchair with even restricted movement of arms and hands and has been for 22 years. It was a terrible accident. When I was in 7th grade one of the cutest guys in class died swimming in a lake that he had swam in all of his life. He was 13. It was an awful accident. Who is to blame? We all have to...

Freedom to Birth: Malfunction or Not a Male function.
http://freedomtobirth.blogspot.com/2011/01/malfunction-or-not-male-function.html
How we choose to give birth is worth fighting for. Saturday, January 29, 2011. Malfunction or Not a Male function. I was watching a show a few days ago and it had a birth scene in it. As usual I wondered what screwy idea are they going to try to give women about birth this time? And we wonder why woman have trouble accepting themselves with all that "malfunctioning plumbing" down there. Woman= faulty parts and cowardly qualities. Any wonder that women are fearful of having babies surely there must be...

Freedom to Birth: July 2010
http://freedomtobirth.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
How we choose to give birth is worth fighting for. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Why are we so misinformed? I am currently a community midwife and a student in AAMI. I am also a homebirth mom. I am constantly amazed at the amount of misinformation parents are given about medical procedures that are done to them or their babies. I must say that this experience that I am going to share is one that left me speechless in the moment but will certainly make me speak louder in the future. What was she thinking?

Freedom to Birth: August 2010
http://freedomtobirth.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
How we choose to give birth is worth fighting for. Sunday, August 29, 2010. Family Healings in Birth at Home. I am privileged to have seen babies born into quiet safe places in their homes that are safe for both babies and their families. I have witnessed healing in moms, dads, and extended families. Nothing is picture perfect in birth or in living life and there are no guarantees but time after time I have seen birth be one of those doors that opens in a person's life that allows changes to happen. ...

Freedom to Birth: Is it just an experience?
http://freedomtobirth.blogspot.com/2010/10/is-it-just-experience-mothers-view.html
How we choose to give birth is worth fighting for. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Is it just an experience? The mother's that I know including myself made the decision to have homebirths because we believe it to be the safest place to have our babies. For ourselves and our babies. We know that each of us runs on a different time clock. We know that bonding produces a lifetime of being able to bond and love others. A baby that grows up into an adult that can care for others is vital to our culture as a wh...

Freedom to Birth: On the Farm
http://freedomtobirth.blogspot.com/2010/11/on-farm.html
How we choose to give birth is worth fighting for. Tuesday, November 9, 2010. I was having a moment the other say remembering what it was like when we had our little homestead. Every year during lambing and we were quite excited. There was a season of time in which that we knew when the lambs and kids were coming but we were not at all concerned about the exact date or which ones were late, early or "on time" ,it was simply "lambing time". So many lies, so many fears. Dust in the wind. Very timely. I...
