Off the Trail - South Africa: Our favorite Local Bike Shop

http://offthetrailsa.blogspot.com/p/kit.html

Off the Trail - South Africa. Dream BIG, challenge the 'status quo' - live Off the Trail. Our favorite Local Bike Shop. Beyers Naude Road is one of the main roads out towards the North West of Joburg. But if you are an up and coming mountain biker, do yourself a favour and turn “off the trail” and head into the old streetfront shopping area of the suburb of Linden. I can’t thank them enough for their assistance in preparing for this crazy race. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The FNB Home Loans Team.

Off the Trail - South Africa. Dream BIG, challenge the 'status quo' - live Off the Trail. Monday, 4 July 2011. Day 21 - The end is in sight. Albert and John did not sleep in 'Die Hel' last night. They reached the bottom of the Gamkaskloof and climbed 'The Ladder' yesterday afternoon, doubling up on the pace. Despite some optimistic planning to finish the Karoo section earlier, this is the first day they managed to skip a Support Station to bring the 26 day target closer. The Adventures of Philip Viljoen. The Adventures of Philip Viljoen. Thursday, May 2, 2013. I haven't written in what feels like years. But it is months. Since my last post I got engaged, married, got a new bike, moved into a new town, new church, changed jobs, changed jobs again, and my riding also changed. So in all this change, a couple of good things came about. One of them is the Dirtopia Enduro I did on May Day. 1 May. Oh my hat this was so much fun! Race day arrived, Werner picked me up and we shot...

The Adventures of Philip Viljoen. The Adventures of Philip Viljoen. Tuesday, May 22, 2012. After finishing the stage we started with our post race admin, not keen on washing the bikes or carrying our boxes, but really looking forward to a shower and (late) lunch. Luckily some porters helped us with our boxes, and as usual the showers were piping hot. They use huge water tanks that they make fire underneath for the hot water. Like a donkey on the old farms. Luxury. We ate some cement and hardened up and w...

The Adventures of Philip Viljoen. The Adventures of Philip Viljoen. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Ladies ride and other news. Somehow I got roped into giving a Ladies skills clinic/group ride on sunday. Okay I admit, I volunteered. I am a sucker for a group ride. Especially if I can share some of my hard earned knowledge (contrary to popular belief, falling is not a lekker way to learn.). So over a couple of coffees the other night we decided it was time to get the ladies ride idea rolling again. All in all it...
