Nicholls Falls - Look closely to see the cascade. Nicholls Falls has been on my list for a while so I decided to check it out today. I had no information on the falls or if there was any track at all so I thought I would just wing it and see what happened. Typical condition of the track. Looking South from top of Falls. Obstruction to sto...

Today we're walking from Seven Mile Beach and around and about Lauderdale. I'm sorry the rest of the group had to stand in the wind and cold waiting for us. The up side is that the four of us in the car were quite warm and comfortable! After all that, we set off led by Tas. Most of the track is in the open with some grown up parts.

Typical weather, blowing a gale with shower predictions and cool temperature. This is what you need to get up here. Lots of flower s in the bush.

Unofficial posts of U3A Kingborough Bushwalkers by Jack Pindell. How to use this blog. Who's Looking at us? I've had a little worry during some of our walks where we are out of mobile phone range. I've done some checks on our walks and this can happen frequently. After all, some of us are getting to be a 'certain age' and unfortunately we may need outside help if something happens. We can't always rely on Bob to run out for help! Instructions on how to turn it on (very simple) are molded into the case&#4...

Just a note about last week's blog, I used a different format for the photos that resulted in larger files to load. I've reverted to my usual format and will keep it so loading should be quicker. I may have to go into therapy as it appears I've been walking with Bob for too long! We start out at a parking area off Geilston Creek Rd.
