http://stitching-stars.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-new-quilt-for-autumn.html
I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Sunday, 7 September 2014. A new quilt for the Autumn. I've just recently finished a patchwork quilt for my bed, see above. After working on Larry's American themed quilt at the beginning of the year,. I was ready for something 'girlie' and this is the result. It's pink, red and flowery! Of course since I've finished it, the weather has turned warmer so I haven't actually used it yet but the time is coming.

http://stitching-stars.blogspot.com/2010/05/pink-baby-dress.html
I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Friday, 21 May 2010. This pretty dress is knitted in 4 ply. 4 ply works very well for baby clothes. It is not too bulky and yet it has a lot of warmth in it. The lacy pattern is not difficult to knit and looks very effective. I knitted this one to fit a size 18 - 20 inch baby. Detail of stitch below. 22 May 2010 at 07:34. This dress is absolutely gorgeous! 22 May 2010 at 08:41. 26 May 2010 at 15:41. If you ...

I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Friday, 12 June 2015. I just finished this Halloween Humpty Dumpty for my grandson. He'll get it on Sunday so I thought I'd better take a picture quickly because once it goes, it's gone! He's made from double knitting yarn and the pattern was partly my own, made up, and partly from a very old pattern book I've had for years and years. Labels: Hand knitted toys. 12 June 2015 at 05:31. Hes a cutie, Star!

Stitching-stars: Knitted rompers
http://stitching-stars.blogspot.com/2010/05/knitted-rompers.html
I like to stitch and knit and add love to the garments I make. Welcome to my sewing/knitting Blog. Friday, 21 May 2010. I made this romper suit using sock wool, purchased in an American store. It is not quite the same ply as we have in England, but it is the equivalent of 4 ply. The wool is designed for knitting socks and knits up in an attractive fair isle pattern without having to keep changing wool. By knitting a larger garment, the pattern alters itself and interesting variations occur. I made this B...

Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail. Home of Suzi Parron, author with Donna Sue Groves of 'Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement.'. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. A Wealth of Barn Quilts in Wisconsin. Wisconsin was actually late in joining the barn quilt movement, but with so many incredible dairy barns- those who got into barn quilts did so with a vengeance! We had visited only briefly in the past, but now it was time to really dig in. At least we had friendly neighbors. In Oconto County, I me...

Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail. Home of Suzi Parron, author with Donna Sue Groves of 'Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement.'. Sunday, May 4, 2014. Glen had teased me for several months about the fact that I had booked a couple of stops in Minnesota in April. I just knew it would be fine.Well . . . it was. Sort of. That was the scene in Rogers, MN where we stopped off to try to get a repair done on the bus. Eight or so inches of snow- more than I have ever seen! A week or so later, ...

Stash Slash Project: Warning!
http://stashslashproject.blogspot.com/2011/07/warning.html
One quilter's commitment to use up her stash before buying more fabric. (At least I want to make a dent in it.). Sunday, July 10, 2011. I saw this post from Bonnie over at Quiltville. http:/ quiltville.blogspot.com/2011/07/whats-in-your-wallet.html. I think it bears repeating. I met someone just a week ago that had this happen to him and three other friends. He thinks their credit/bank cards were scanned (from their pockets! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
