LIVE FROM THE HILLTOP: May 2008
http://livefromthehilltop.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Get it straight, Sharon. Sharon Mill is a dark curly haired Jew who works in South Center Mall. Mushky Notik is a dark curly haired Jew who shops. At South Center Mall. It is in the busied kiosk-laden, people packed center of this mall where they collided. He saw her from afar and made his ever so smooth approach. Yew hov natrally cerlee hair, yes? He drew closer with speed, armed with a straightener and trained sales skills. I, however, fell victim. Learning in a Chabad school.

LIVE FROM THE HILLTOP: Supposed to be sleeping
http://livefromthehilltop.blogspot.com/2008/09/supposed-to-be-sleeping.html
Sunday, September 21, 2008. Supposed to be sleeping. I am supposed to be sleeping. But I am awake talking to G-d. 1am and these words of return. Haven't been said in a year. I haven't returned in a year. Slichos in a brick shul. Packed with fashionable overtired girls. Smells like teen spirit. I remember last year. My first time, the pre-New Year customs in the Heights. Surroundings uninspiring, but a heart so alive it didn't need it. A year later now. Heart so alive turned the heat down and took a dive.

LIVE FROM THE HILLTOP: October 2007
http://livefromthehilltop.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 31, 2007. I know I'm spiritually in tune when the small things matter. I know I am spiritually in tune when nothing. Is small at all. That was the theme that pulsated through every experience I had in Tzfas. For me, learning Chassidus was all about discovering the unity inherit in everything. Learning a Sicha, and experiencing how the Rebbe weaves through various levels of Torah and reveals the interconnectedness. Seeing how tiny decisions have cosmic affects on my growth. I was alread...

Friday, August 08, 2008. It is with my 145th Live From the Hilltop. Post that I present the excuse for my disappearance over the past month. Indeed, love has bitten. Most of you have already heard the grand news that, through Hashem's completely overwhelming abundance of marvelous and almost-unfathomable blessings, I am engaged to Moshe Hecht (from Queens). May we continue to share only the happiest of times together and soon welcome true and complete Redemption! With joy and gratitude,. Mazel Tov, Mimi.

LIVE FROM THE HILLTOP: Back on the Hilltop (or trying)
http://livefromthehilltop.blogspot.com/2009/02/back-on-hilltop-or-trying.html
Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Back on the Hilltop (or trying). I wanna write but I can't, so I'm hiding in the abstract. Tossing and turning, tryin' to get back on track. Big plans I have, but its all dying in my head. Lazy and uncaring, everything has turned to lead. I know what is my toil, signs are everywhere. But when I approach, there arises this fear. Eventually, from the depths I know I must call. For a little help from the creator of it all. I used to write, and feel you flowing through my pen.

LIVE FROM THE HILLTOP: January 2008
http://livefromthehilltop.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Dr Newmark and the Rebbetzin: A Private Farbrengen. This past Thursday, as my non-Lubavitch doctor prepared the syringe he would soon stick into my toe, he asked me, "So what are you doing for Chof Beis Shvat? Apparently, my plans were to be walking around in Crocs recovering from the surgery to remove an ingrown toenail. For Dr. Newmark, this would be the one time a year that he went to the Ohel. The Rebbetzin, he says, was like a mother to him. So I strike a deal. Dr Newmark ...

LIVE FROM THE HILLTOP: June 2008
http://livefromthehilltop.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 20, 2008. You were always so precise and direct. So focused. You were present. So in the moment. So in the future. You were a light. So positive, so bright. You were action. So quick and on unafraid. You were truth. So unrelenting and unbending. You were alive. So energetic and passionate. And today, we see a new video of you. "Rare video clips" - broken and blurry images never seen before. We are left with black and white movements that are undefinable, unfindable, unwindable. Sunday, June ...

LIVE FROM THE HILLTOP: July 2008
http://livefromthehilltop.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Love Bites in Crown Heights. Written June 14th, and debated whether to post.until just now). Roaming Carroll, President and Union. Searching for my mate, for some soul reunion. Feeling idealistic, young and naive. Yet to be burdened, still charged to believe. Suddenly a wall, these stumbling blocks. Crash from some words, these calls and these knocks. You tell me its not simple, and force me to define. Wrap me up in plastic, no you can't hear me whine. The faces on Kingston just c...
