February 28th 2008 - A New Season begins with our first Grandlambs. On February 7th - Miss Blanca surprised us - as seems to be becoming a bit of common occurrence with us - with our first babies from girls born on our farm. A beautiful pair of twins (again as is our tradition) - a girl Babe and boy Bo. We thought we had retired the proud father of all the HimmelAlm-born flock members. As it turn out he gave us some marvelous parting gifts. September 8th 2006 A time to every purpose under the heaven.

We are a small family farm in Powell Tennessee. Among our residents is a small flock of high percentage Lacaune/East Friesian sheep. Our starter flock was purchased from the good folks at Promised Land Farm. In Wisconsin. We now have two generations of native Tennesseans as well! So far we have 12 lambs on the ground from 7 ewe (including our first grandchildren). We are expecting at least 8 more.

We will begin our third spring of milking this month (April 2008). Our favorite cheeses so far have been romano and basque style hard cheeses and fresh feta. With each batch of cheese we also get marvelous ricotta. All have been very well received by family and friends. We are working towards receiving certification from the state to allow us to sell this year's product (cheese and natural lamb) to the public. And for the gardeners out there.
