The main shop is setup in the living room area with hardwood floors. Most of the tables face the windows. They have a few seats outside but it was a little cold to eat outside that day. Le Pommier (Apple Juice). When the food finally came, note that I did order before they were ready for lunch service, the food was delicious!

幕末、西欧列強が東アジアに進出してきた時代に、島津家28代当主島津斉彬は 海から来る敵は海で防ぐべき と考え、溶岩で埋没する以前の 大隅半島と桜島の間の海峡 の造船所で洋式帆船を建造しました。 斉彬は、嘉永６年(1853) 桜島の瀬戸に造船所を設けて大型船の建造に着手、安政元年(1854)12月に竣工し 昇平丸 と命名しました。 更に15隻の建造を計画して、その中の鳳瑞丸 万年丸が牛根で、大元丸 承天丸が桜島の有村で建造され、 大隅半島と桜島の間の海峡 では次々に洋式帆船が竣工されたのです。 まさに 大隅半島と桜島の間の海峡 のあったこの地は日本における近代造船発祥の地であり、国旗 日の丸 のふるさとなのです。 嘉永6 1853 5月、桜島瀬戸村造船所で建造に着手され、安政元年 1854 12月完成し翌年幕府に献上されて 昌平丸 と改名した。 鹿児島県観光サイト 本物 の旅 かごしま.
