THE BLACK HOLE: Vacation Time - Family Summer Trip 2014

http://dmdangerfield.blogspot.com/2014/07/vacation-time-family-summer-trip-2014.html

July 18, 2014. Vacation Time - Family Summer Trip 2014. So on our first non-travel day we headed to Mt. Rushmore. Jenn is the only one in our family that had ever been here before. I've seen lots of pictures, but this is still pretty neat to see in person. Jenn's mom found these shirts for the kids awhile back and a few people at Mt. Rushmore even asked us where we got them because they liked them. On the second day we headed to Jewel Cave. We ended our trip through Custer State Park at Sylvan Lake.

THE BLACK HOLE: May 2010

http://dmdangerfield.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

May 22, 2010. The Pool Is Now Open. This is one of the areas that Erik really wanted to try because he has never had a chance to since the free nights are always so busy. This area is where the kids can make all sorts of things out of recycled products like milk jugs, egg cartons, cardboard tubes, etc. Erik decided to make a lunch box out of a orange juice carton. There is also a cow out in front of the building that we let the kids climb on. Then we saw the sign that said, "Please don't climb on me!

THE BLACK HOLE: April 2012

http://dmdangerfield.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

April 12, 2012. The kids had their spring break recently and since I was working weekends already, which means I have the following Thursday and Friday off, I used some PTO for Mon-Wed so we could all spend spring break doing things together. We decided we would go to a different park each day, which the kids thought was great. Alex having fun in the swings at the "Boat Park". Our kids have names for all the parks so they have name the Girl Scout Park the Boat Park. Alex having fun at the Pinewood Derby.

THE BLACK HOLE: September 2013

http://dmdangerfield.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

September 7, 2013. Riding the shuttle from the parking lot up to the stadium. All the kids were pretty excited to go to the game. Rose was ready to eat and go to bed at this point. It was only about the 2nd inning. Here is the view of the field from our seats. Behind us there were some really big storm clouds and the sky was pretty dark. We lucked out and ran into my friend Adam, so he took a family picture for us. Everyone had fun even though they started to melt a little towards the end. We did...Alex ...

THE BLACK HOLE: July 2013

http://dmdangerfield.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

July 7, 2013. We brought some very good potato salad. There were all sorts of water toys and things for the kids to play with. Lily decided to sit in the bucket that I'm pretty sure is for filling up the water guns. They set up a slip-n-slide, these water buckets, a couple of kiddie pools, and games like bean bag toss and volleyball so there was plenty of things to do. The wind was blowing enough that Lily put this frisbee behind her and said, "Look Dad, I am magic. It can stay up all by itself". After w...

October 24, 2009. Well, I've not been round these parts much lately, but it happens. Anyhow, fall has finally arrived here in Colorado and it is supposed to get cold the next two days or so. THE BLACK HOLE: August 2013

http://dmdangerfield.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

August 13, 2013. While it is not cheap to go to get in the aquarium, the kids had a blast so it was definitely worth it. Alex and Rose ready to explore. Erik our shark diver. While everyone had a lot of fun, Alex by far was the most excited and wore himself out by the end with all the running back and forth he did looking at all the fish and displays. There were fish everywhere. Even up above our heads in a few places. This grouper was one of the biggest fish we saw besides the sharks. This tiger was one...

THE BLACK HOLE: May 2012

http://dmdangerfield.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

May 25, 2012. So, school is over for the summer around these parts. Yesterday Drew's preschool had a last day get together for all the kids and their families out by the playground. Everyone brought lunch and then the kids got to run around and play for a bit before we all went inside and the kids sang their favorite songs. After that school was over for the year. Alex hanging out with Ms. Heather, Drew's teacher. Drew had a blast just running around. Alex had fun exploring in the room too. Drew is a big...
