I got it used for under $5. The English Country House: A Grand Tour. Historic Houses, Castles and Gardens in Great Britain and Ireland. Mine was published in 1979 but it was published after that as well. I got mine for $2 at a used bookstore and I'm buying another one. I do have a marvelous college library near m...

A blog for exchanging info and resources about the 18th century. Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Last Thursday I went with my daughter's class to Riley's Farm. In Oak Glen, California. I really didn't know much about the place but it was a pleasant surprise. The older kids got to pretend they were fighting a battle from the War for Independence while the little ones went to the farm section. Posted by Rene at 2:17 PM. I would LOVE to go here. By Robert Shoemaker. There was so much social upheavel and very little methods of control, the lower classes of London ran amuck.
