Friday, October 26, 2007. This one goes out to my Elliot, who's had a really tough week, hope you feel better soon lovely boy. He's only six and like most kids, eager to GROW up, slow down sweetie, as they say, youth is wasted on the young. Nice illustration, good balance, nice shading, only real improvement would be minor touching up, good picture. October 26, 2007 at 1:17 PM. I like it, get well soon Elliot :-). November 12, 2007 at 10:08 PM. The drink carton is an inspired touch!

Karen Thomas: Illustration Friday - The Blues
http://karenthomasdesign.blogspot.com/2007/10/illustration-friday-blues.html
Tuesday, October 2, 2007. Illustration Friday - The Blues. Well this is my first 'Illustration Friday'. It's been a technical challenge for me, so I'm already looking forward to the next title, some creative pleasure to balance up against the blogging experience. This painting was inspired by a trip to Naxos with my wonderful man, Paul. Our beach was so beautiful and I never tired of looking at 'the blues'. October 2, 2007 at 2:16 PM. Brings back memories of sitting on the shore deep in thought.

Karen Thomas: Illustration Friday - Open
http://karenthomasdesign.blogspot.com/2007/10/illustration-friday-open.html
Thursday, October 11, 2007. Illustration Friday - Open. Just wanted to explore the sense of frustration that kids feel with the adult world. Really imagined this little girl hearing her mother say 'Honey, can you close the door for me' and the child standing, flummoxed by the enormity of the task ahead of her. Well that's my interpretation of Open. Oh this is wonderful and so true. You captured that feeling so well. its beautiful work :o). October 12, 2007 at 12:47 AM. October 12, 2007 at 6:42 AM.
