Tales from the enchanted gardens and shadow hollow. Out of Habit…. Here we are: the July Blog Circle topic… now I’m all up to date. Zombies are a July tradition here at Wriye. Do you have a writing tradition of your own? How did it come about? Share an example of your tradition! Traditions are odd things. Sometimes, we do things for an actual reason. Other times, we just do it because we always have done it. Who else would have such depth? July 13, 2016. Taking and Giving… it’s not easy. My method of cri...

Tales from the enchanted gardens and shadow hollow. A Review of a very… odd book. Why You Shouldn’t Eat Your Boogers and Other Useless or Gross Information About Your Body. My rating: 3 of 5 stars. Each of the little articles was short, so it was a really quick read. View all my reviews. June 18, 2015. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. The Ashes of Youth | Heather's Fancies
https://hmltwin.wordpress.com/2015/06/17/the-ashes-of-youth
Tales from the enchanted gardens and shadow hollow. The Ashes of Youth. A little story featuring some new characters. It was inspired by a phrase prompt at the WriYe DreamWidth (which became the title). How long do you suppose it’ll take before she arrives? The peace officer beside him murmured. He heard a coarse voice floating across the field. A woman was scolding someone about being too slow and needing to pay better attention to what he was doing. The idiot who came to fetch us here slammed it in the...

On tropes and clichés | Heather's Fancies
https://hmltwin.wordpress.com/2015/07/22/on-tropes-and-cliches
Tales from the enchanted gardens and shadow hollow. On tropes and clichés. Another month, another WriYe Blog Circle…. Overused Tropes and Cliches. We at WriYe know that zombies may be overdone, but we love them anyway. What are your favorite tropes/cliches? Which ones are your least favorite? Dare you to link to TVTropes and NOT get stuck there for an hour! Ah, tropes and clichés the bane of a writer’s existence, but also tried and true tools that help us craft stories. Or Did you ever switch places?

Review of Etiquette & Espionage | Heather's Fancies
https://hmltwin.wordpress.com/2015/06/30/review-of-etiquette-espionage
Tales from the enchanted gardens and shadow hollow. Review of Etiquette & Espionage. My rating: 3 of 5 stars. This book didn’t keep my attention quite as much as the books in Carriger’s other series did. However, it had all the things in it that I had enjoyed in the other series. The characters were fun to read about. The world felt full and realistic (as realistic as a world like this could be). There was still humor everywhere. All in all, it was a fun read. Tales from the enchanted gardens and shadow hollow. Everyone Has A Story. I’ve been participating in National Novel Writing Month since 2006. I’m sure most of my friends know what National Novel Writing Month is, but just in case: It’s a yearly event, taking place each November, where people all over the world work with the goal of writing 50K on a first draft of a novel in thirty days. Everyone Has a Story. July 7, 2015. 1 responses to “Everyone Has A Story”. July 7th, 2015 at 09:01. This is exactly the...
