My Badge of Honour (skip if not into baseball). We’ve Reached Peak Internet. Today was report card day in Nova Scotia, and I saw a friend post on Fac...

Musings on relationships, children, getting older, getting happy. Hannah reads Laura Ingalls Wilder. 50 shades of “here we go again”. Warning: this post contains NSFW language and themes. Also trigger warning for explicit mentions of sexual violence. Be warned. Here be dragons. I have often wondered what I’m known for in my (admittedly-small) social media circle. I poured the remains of my brother in law from a mason jar into a ziplock baggie. Before my husband's brother died. This morning my husband took a plane to California, and I was charged with making sure that the ashes would pass through security. Hence the baggie. Double bagged, actually. don't forget the horse: loose change
http://dontforgetthehorse.blogspot.com/2011/11/loose-change.html
Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Things didn't work out this fall like I had planned. Seems when talking about the farm they never do. The turkeys didn't grow as well as planned. Growth was stunted by illness that went undetected. The pastures will be empty. That I'm doing this farming thing wrong. I want to go home and hug my kids and pat my horse and smell the earth and give my soul to my husband and show him I still cherish his. Leaving all the rest on the ground. Never picking it up again. I dont think so...

sweet and lovely crafts: handprint peacocks
http://sweetandlovelycrafts.blogspot.com/2011/04/handprint-peacocks.html
Monday, April 25, 2011. It's a sure sign that spring is on its' way when you start to see the return of robins (and other birds! Around here. We've been spotting lots of birds around here lately, so I decided to make some bird themed crafts with the kids. This craft was actually inspired by a craft that we saw on Mister Maker. It looked easy enough to make, so Claire and I gathered our supplies and sat down to try to make the craft. You know what's not so easy? Linking up with: Tatertots and Jello. April...

Hodgepodge and Balderdash
My Life. My thoughts. My beliefs. in My words. Sunday, January 11, 2015. Excuses. Excuses. :P. So much for my plan to post more frequently this year. Its ten days down and all I have done is one measly post recapping the past year. But before I take all the blame on myself (well, its mostly mine for being my lazy, procrastinating self), let me also tell you who else you and me both can ascribe blame to. And of course, Bones. :D. I have also been in two minds about getting back to my alphabet series. ...

Hodgepodge & Strawberries | musings on relationships, children, getting older, getting happy
Musings on relationships, children, getting older, getting happy. Hannah reads Laura Ingalls Wilder. The pebble in the gearwheel. My blogging fell off in the summer as it always does – I’m outside most of the daylight hours, I can’t be bothered to sit down in front of a screen – but I fully expected to come back to it in September. That didn’t happen this year, and I think I have figured out why. I start off by blaming myself for all the times I was harassed, threatened, or touched against my will. In 20...
