Hokitika is a cool little town. Bordered by the beach front and the north bank of the Hokitika River, it was the Capital of the goldfields in the 1860’s. It is also home to pounamu/NZ jade. Take a stroll through the shopping centre, walk along the beach, chat to the locals and take home a reminder of the beautiful beachside town.
