Support Group for Parents of LGBTQ Children. Kia Ora, I am Amanda, when our son came out, I was not surprised and as an arty, liberal type I thought, I had this, it would be plain sailing. Actually as it turned out, my hubby and I were, not surprised but still shocked and unsure of how to handle some issues that came up. We sometimes still have wonderings. I am terribly sorry to cancel our October meeting but i will not be available due to my travels to South Africa. I have however secured a wonderfully knowledgeable and very much loved member of our LGBT community.
