There's a Hole in the Earth: Pirates: The Dark Truth
http://holeintheearth.blogspot.com/2011/04/pirates-dark-truth.html
Time heals all wounds. Until then, there's blogging. Pirates: The Dark Truth. My five-year-old son (Bun) bought a pirate costume at a yard sale today. A little girl got to the sword and spyglass first, so the outfit is short a couple of accessories. On that note, Bun was describing the things he still needed to be a real pirate. Bun: Daddy, do I look like a real pirate? You look like a great pirate. Bun: Only I need an eye patch and a bird to tie to my shoulder. Bun: Yes. And, Daddy? Me: Yes, Bun?

Why is an orange an orange, but an apple isn't a red and a banana isn't a yellow? The peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper Picked? Why is it, when someone asks, “Hey! How’s it going? 8221; it’s perfectly acceptable to reply, “Hey! How are you doing? 8221; and never actually answer their question? 1 Critical Additions - Leave Yours. Now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

There's a Hole in the Earth: June 2010
http://holeintheearth.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Time heals all wounds. Until then, there's blogging. How do you define death in the online age? How many days do you have to go without posting on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, a blog, or any other social networking site (SNS) before you are dead to the internet? My online pulse definitely flat-lined. But interestingly, whenever it does it coincides with a marked increase in real-world “action.” .w. Hen I’m very much alive and doing things. Thus, if you become truly alive in real-life you are dead online.

Big Morty Says: How does my garden grow?
http://bigmorty.blogspot.com/2008/03/how-does-my-garden-grow.html
Sunday, March 30, 2008. How does my garden grow? Literally thousands of you have been asking how the square foot garden. Is coming along. Nicely, thanks for asking. Well, here's some pictures so you can see for yourself. Here's the whole thing, not much of a perspective, but you can see the green in spots. Here are the radishes, our first to sprout. I think this is a green bean. Its about 50/50 right now if I will eat any green beans or not. Posted by Big Morty. At Sunday, March 30, 2008. Monday, March 3...

Friday, June 20, 2008. It's Now Okay to Steal. Anything. and not lying, if nobody asks you any direct questions. After all, they have insurance to cover these sorts of things, and I've been ripped off a time or two, so it's just karma paying me back. I feel completely justified in my ability to rationalize. The point of these ramblings can best be illustrated by a story I'd like to share:. Me: We ordered memory cards but got these cameras. Can I exchange them for the memory cards? Big Morty Says: Another Trip to Brazil
http://bigmorty.blogspot.com/2011/03/another-trip-to-brazil.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Another Trip to Brazil. My job sends me to a lot of places, most of them I don't want to go to. But last week I got the chance to go back to Brazil, something I haven't done since I was a missionary. I thought it somewhat odd how different this trip was, and would like to relate a few of the things that I did which I never did as a missionary:. 1 Walked around by myself. 2 Did not wear a white shirt. 3 Did not wear a tie, at all, even in a button up shirt. Big Morty Says: What's Your BMI?
http://bigmorty.blogspot.com/2008/12/whats-your-bmi.html
Wednesday, December 10, 2008. These days in the corporate world it seems the bosses are always trying to find a way to save money. This week's victim is the corporate health care plan. It wasn't enough to disable the elevators and make everyone take the stairs. We thought when they removed all the candy bars from the vending machines and replaced them with soy-bars that we had seen the limits. But now it's getting personal. Turns out being big still carries some advantages as my team of obese dudes carri...
Big Morty Says: Thank You, I Love You
http://bigmorty.blogspot.com/2008/05/thank-you-i-love-you.html
Sunday, May 11, 2008. Thank You, I Love You. Found an old file on the computer, from Mother's Day 1995. Enjoy:. There was an old woman. Who lived in a shoe. She had so many children. She didn't know what to do. So she gave them some soup. Without any bread,. Then beat them all soundly,. And sent them to bed. The Mother's day job alright,. But what did she do. When she stayed up all night? She washed lots of shirts. And socks all in bunches. Then she found them some bread,. And made them all lunches.
Big Morty Says: Why Guns are Dangerous
http://bigmorty.blogspot.com/2009/01/why-guns-are-dangerous.html
Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Why Guns are Dangerous. My buddy was interested in guns. He has a small arsenal in his house. He subscribes to every legitimate gun magazine in the English language. When he finished memorizing each article he would pass them on to me. I would look at the pictures and read one or two articles per magazine. And then he showed me the Mosin Nagant. It's a Russian rifle mass produced during World War 2, and you could buy one online. For 70 bucks. I knew I had to make one mine.
Big Morty Says: Shave and Hair Cut
http://bigmorty.blogspot.com/2008/09/shave-and-hair-cut.html
Friday, September 12, 2008. Shave and Hair Cut. It's been a long time since I paid for a haircut. Mrs. Morty used to cut it, until I decided to simply cut it all off every few weeks and just embrace the inevitable baldness. My hair was getting pretty long (unfortunately not on top) and I hadn't bought new clippers since the smoke came out of my last ones, so I went to the barber shop. Posted by Big Morty. At Friday, September 12, 2008. Oh my gosh, Big Morty, you crack me up! And hilarious at the same tim...

Saturday, March 31, 2012. Another year, another post. Look at that. It's been a year since my last post. And another year since the previous one. And in both of those I was posting about being in some other country. Well, the trend continues. March once again finds me long from home and in yet another country not previously visited (by posts, I've been here before.). Posted by Big Morty. At Saturday, March 31, 2012. Not even any pictures? There's a Hole in the Earth
Time heals all wounds. Until then, there's blogging. Once I Traveled through Time. Once I traveled through time. Slipping past years in a blink of the eye,. I awoke to a world asleep. What strangeness I did find. Foundations forgotten or left behind,. A Potemkin village made of lives. Beings advanced in years, but not in life,. Denying their very lineage. Living an existence devoid of light. In a cell of their own construction. The sun still rose and set. But having closed their eyes to shun the truth,.

Hole in the Family
Hole in the Family. November 16, 2014. Well technically maybe not two whole weeks. But pretty close. I heard about tilde.club. Inadvertently some place and I liked the idea so much I decided to make my own version of it. Since tilde.club was full and the idea was gaining steam a bunch of others were created, of widely varying popularity as chronicled on tilde.club's. I made a typo in the domain name. When you buy a domain, ya see, it says. This could take up to 48 hours to take affect. To which I replied.
The Hole in the Fence
The Hole in the Fence. Thursday, April 06, 2006. Cause of Suicide: Idiot Suffering. At first I had no idea where the heck the student got that from, but then I remembered that the prof had babbled about how many people erroneously assume that Buddhists believe that people should endure all life's suffering, even in the case of abuse. My prof referred to this as "idiot compassion," and I think the English word "compassion" is the rough translation of "dharma," but I'm not sure. Hence, idiot suffering.
