Is a small, but expanding coastal spa town and former fishing village on the western side of the Mar Menor in the province of Murcia, south eastern Spain. On 13 October 1983, the town was granted municipal autonomy, in respect of which it holds an annual week-long celebration featuring live music, shows, windsurfing competitions and firework displays and beach BBQs.

Although a car is not essential, if you do hire a car there are lots of options for exploring the different beaches in the Murcia region. Local public transport is good with bus services to nearby towns and to the city of Murcia if you’d like to explore the region without hiring a car.

There are lots of options for car hire but it’s important to understand a few things if you’ve not done this before in Murcia. Provide a full tank of fuel and you need to return it with a full tank. If you don’t they will charge you for the price of the fuel plus 20 or so service charge. They have a very clear charging structure and can deliver and collect from anywhere in the local area if you only want to hire for a few days during your stay. You can use online brokers such as Bravo Car Hire.

There is a minimum of four nights for any single booking (five nights during peak periods). Check in is usually after 2.00 pm and check out is by 11.30 am on day of departure in order to allow the preparation for the next guests. Where we can, we’ll try to fit in with your flight times but that may not always be possible.
