Having said that, I want to thank ALL of the staff and volunteers of Wolf Hollow for making these past 5 years an absolute joy for me. You know who you are! Wednesday, November 04, 2009. We Otter Detour Here. Yes, I know.that was bad.really bad. I can hear you groaning all the way from there. But we needed to take a quick jump back to the near past, as I thought we might wrap up our otter adventures for this year. They came in so long ago, some of them all the way back in April! They were so teeny tiny when they came in. The first group was so small that their eyes were still shut! To the weaning stage. They also started getting to go out for swims in a tub.

We received this eagle in after a woman watched it get pummeled in a territorial battle. And as you can see, "pummeled" is an understatement. She is missing feathers and skin off the top of her head, her right eye is badly mangled, as is her beak. She also had some puncture wounds on her chest. Me? Thursday, January 14, 2010. By the Skin of Its….Head. We have another Bald Eagle in and it's an eagle that is VERY lucky. And why is that you might ask? Because it flew into a power line!
