It started when I foolishly (again) left my purse in my car during Luke's tennis match down at Barnes Tennis Center. I returned to a bashed in car and a stolen purse, along with many of my other personal belongings. It's hard already, but without an income, losing all that stuff was even harder. Nov 18, 2010. I haven't been writing in my blog for a long time, I have been busy with rehab and just trying to stay warm. The foot doctor gave me shots in my feet to help them and it was so so so painful. Dr. Thacker says that I need special shoes or orthopedic shoes because I am so very hard on my feet and medicare or insurance won't cover it. I think one shoe is wider because of my amputation. Next Thursday and Friday I have an exam. more test. I thought I was out of college. Dec 10, 2009. Tubes and more tubes. This tube is in my nose and down my throat and I have to wear it for 24 hours and that really sucks. The technician is calculating my esophageal patterns or something like that. I gauged so much! Nov 29, 2009. The doctors treated my visit as just another check up, I really don't think that they can do anything for me during these check ups except to lighten my wallet. So I'm exhausted by the end of the day with the doctors. The next day Joey had to spend the day giving me fluids and taking care of me so that I could recover from the doctors visit. May 19, 2010. It's been a long time since I've updated Lisa's situation:. We drove back and forth to Seattle sometimes 2, to 3 doctors a day then to return the following for last three months to the University for testing and blood work. It's been extremely exhausting for Lisa, Joey, and I for the possible lung transplant. She was denied the transplant for the reasons that they feel she would not be able to survive it. She cried!
