Because I Hate Airports: Istanbul
http://becauseihateairports.blogspot.com/2011/05/istanbul.html
Because I Hate Airports. Cycling over 11,000 miles from London to Australia, to raise £20,000 for Shelter. And because I hate airports. WHERE ON EARTH AM I NOW? Sunday, 8 May 2011. I arrived in Istanbul last week, by bus from Thessaloniki. Unfortunately I still can't cycle due to the trapped nerve, but it has given me a chance to spend a few days in Istanbul. It has rained cats and dogs, but the sun came out on saturday and has remained since. Here are a some photos - for the full album click here.

Because I Hate Airports. Cycling over 11,000 miles from London to Australia, to raise £20,000 for Shelter. And because I hate airports. WHERE ON EARTH AM I NOW? Friday, 10 June 2011. I thought I'd share some photos of New Zealand. I went there two days after arriving in Brisbane, as my brother had to renew his Australian visa, and had to leave the country to do so. Enjoy! Posted by Oliver Robbins. Monday, 6 June 2011. Mission aborted, sadly. Warned me that this could happen. A little. Does it matter?

Because I Hate Airports: Thessaloniki, Greece

Because I Hate Airports. Cycling over 11,000 miles from London to Australia, to raise £20,000 for Shelter. And because I hate airports. WHERE ON EARTH AM I NOW? Monday, 2 May 2011. I've been in Thessaloniki in Greece since Saturday. It seems I have a trapped nerve in my nether regions, and is getting worse before it gets better. I went to see a doctor here, who luckily spoke very good English. It is strange though, as I'm used to the saddle and have used it happily for two years now. 6 May 2011 at 18:12.

Because I Hate Airports: March 2011

Because I Hate Airports. Cycling over 11,000 miles from London to Australia, to raise £20,000 for Shelter. And because I hate airports. WHERE ON EARTH AM I NOW? Wednesday, 30 March 2011. Thoughts on a bicycle. ALL money donated to Shelter through the Justgiving page will go to Shelter. Or write prose for prose' sake. I will not write about the 'delightful natives'. I have encountered and their 'extraordinary traditions'. As we share one world as one species, where culture is merely a way of trying to exp...

SOCIAL WORK – RESEARCH – PSYCHOLOGY. Can Homelessness Be Ended in a Moment? I was invited this week by Homeless Link. To write a short article for a series of blog posts they were publishing for World Homeless Day. I decided to write about one of the stories I heard during the course of our research which highlighted the ‘moment of clarity’ experience that many people described to me when they realised they needed to take control of their lives. The blog post is published here. Feel free to get in touch.
