Boeuf Bourguignon - Burgundy Beef Recipe - HomeSchool French

http://homeschoolfrench.com/boeuf-bourguignon-burgundy-beef-recipe

Boeuf Bourguignon - Burgundy Beef Recipe - HomeSchool French. Boeuf Bourguignon – Burgundy Beef Recipe. Julia Child’s classic recipe for Boeuf Bourguignon, straight from her book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I have made only very minor adaptations for the sake of convenience. After you’ve fried the bacon, pat the beef dry with a paper towel, then brown it in the bacon drippings. Do this in several batches, so you don’t crowd the pan. Prepare the veggies. Take the stew out of the oven and add the...

Riding the London Eye - HomeSchool French

http://homeschoolfrench.com/riding-the-london-eye

Riding the London Eye. We did, and sooner than I’d imagined. In 2011, we flew to England on our way to France. We only had 1.5 days to spend in London, but I was determined to squeeze in a ride on the giant wheel! As we made our way through the Tube system, I kept wondering if I could really do it. I’d already faced my fear on the Eiffel Tower. But this thing was a whole different animal! They weren’t a bit scared (yay, boys! 8221; I was sure each jarring blow of his little wellies would create a crack t...

My Outrageous Travel Goals. Now it’s 5 years later, and Life has taken a totally unexpected turn for the better! We’ve happily relocated to southern Utah, near Las Vegas. My homeschooling days are almost over (May 2015), and I’m working at a full-time job I love. Stretching myself to think beyond my present situation was the fist step to changing it. I’m incredibly grateful each time I’m able to cross something off this list. And there’s lots of food involved, because that’s just how I roll! Attend a Fre...

About - HomeSchool French

http://homeschoolfrench.com/home/about

I’m Lori, and I. I’ve always been fascinated with world cultures and languages, but I fell head over heels with French when I was 14. That’s when my 9th grade French teacher, Madame Hunt, fascinated me with stories of living, learning, and traveling abroad. From then on I was hooked! I also went on to study Russian and Japanese, but French is still my favorite. We captured photos and videos with an eye toward creating an online version of my former co-op classes. Et voilà – here it is!

Frolic and Farce

Complete Units Available for Purchase. April 27, 2016. January 23, 2016. My sister, Lindsay, has decided to homeschool her kindergartener this next school year. I am impressed by her decision because she has absolutely zero interest in homeschooling. However, like moms have done since the beginning of time she is choosing to do what she thinks is best for her daughter instead of what she thinks is best for herself. Subjects I would teach: penmanship, math, reading prep/reading, history! A history unit ab...
