Thursday, March 22, 2012. Last month, my Sydney turned 10 years old. In my family, that means a "real" party (more than just the 20 family members and the option to "go" somewhere). I saw an eversave a couple months back for Rebounderz (an indoor trampoline house) for a birthday party package half off and asked Sydney if she wanted to go that route. Saturday, November 9, 2013. Our lives are about to get a lot busier. When I write that, my first thought is. "How is that possible? As our children get older, we are pulled in so many different directions. We already have almost no nights where all six of us are home at the same time. And yet, God has placed children in Foster Care on our family's heart. Almost 2 months ago, we started attending the classes required to become foster parents. We are excited and nervous all at once.

HE is the Alpha and Omega, Prince of Peace, King of Kings, Almighty One. He is our Healer, our Redeemer, our Comforter, HE is our SAVIOR! Where will I put my trust with all this pain? So this brings me to the understanding that God is sovereign over both the blessings of my life and also the sufferings.

One of my 3 babies (Karlen, Jac and Luna) is sick! It's our sweet little cat, Luna. She has been sneezing and suffering from a cold for almost a week. I called the vet and as long as she is eating, they really can't do anything. We hope she gets over it soon. As you can see from the pictures, the cat and dog are best friends!

It’s been a difficult year here in many ways, and as I have been praying about what to teach and what methods and materials to use for school, I have been convicted of the need to go back for some basic training before we really plunge into academic endeavors this year. Simple things like getting up at a reasonable hour have gone by the wayside, and now we need to regroup. That’s a successful first day of school in my opinion!
