Homeschooling With the Kvenvoldens: Our Family: an update.

http://homeschoolingwiththekvenvoldens.blogspot.com/2014/05/our-family-update.html

Sunday, May 25, 2014. Our Family: an update. So i haven't blogged in a long time. Having had the realization of the effect of blogging, the nature of being exposed to the public, those who know you, or don't or wish you well or wish you ill. All of these elements exist. Its taken me a while to get past that so i've not been posting all the fun things we've been doing this year! But so much has changed that I thought i'd post an update. Alex- Alex will be starting his first year at Seattle University!

Its a wonderful celebration of the amazing freedom we all experience getting to learn together and spend the days together and bond and all that stuff. Gosh, i love my kiddos and love being a mom! So, click on the pictures for a closer view, and please excuse the wonky order. i'm simply DONE wrestling with Blogger and its format. Posted by Rebecca K. Ok, so i was QUITE pregger...

Rebuilding Rebecca: April 2013

Tuesday, April 30, 2013. I feel entirely alone. How is that possible? I have a packed house and 687 facebook friends. As always i'm the queen of cognitive dissonance. When will life make sense? Can it just hurry up? I'm tired of self destructing. Posted by Rebecca K. Sunday, April 28, 2013. Whew, veggie prep weekend is always crazy busy. Twice a month we get produce from bountiful baskets. So anyway, that's my super exciting life ;-) cleaning and cooking. woohooo! Thanks for reading 3 R. I'm on a rollerc...

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. So to start things off yesterday, the kids worked together on their chores, instead of just doing their own. Then they put a puzzle together.together :) After a really great day of team work we had a family night. We went to tacobell (uck, but its cheap.) Went and saw RIO. Hopefully tonight it will be nice enough to go on a walk after dinner, and we plan on playing uno or maybe dominoes.and I picked them up another puzzle :). They really do love each other. Well we read it but didn't get a chance to do much with it, so I kept it for this week. We re-read the book and studied the amazing illustrations. While listening to the cd of music included with the book, the kids painted rainbows. They were told to mimic the painting style used in the book, I think they did a great job! http://rebeccakvenvolden.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 17, 2010. I'm writing to you all from lovely Vancouver Washington! Which i must say, i really like. People are really friendly here. Huge difference from Federal way. What i was most surprised about was that the hotel we stayed at let us stay in just one room, which was GREAT! We came here on the fly, after Teresa called me on thursday and said, Hey, we're going up to vancouver this weekend, can you guys drive down? I swear those walls start to close in on a person after a while!

Love Multiplies!: Things...

http://rebeccakvenvolden.blogspot.com/2010/10/things.html

Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Things are looking up! Despite a NASTY bout of the flu that hit everyone in our family, except possibly nikolas, which is weird, since he's the one that tends to be most likely to get sick, i'm feeling much better! There's 2 types of sick people, laid back, people that sort of shrink into themselves and you barely notice they are there when they are sick, which would be like my oldest, Alex, and then there's whiny, needy sick people, like nikolas, my second oldest!

Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Wow i haven't posted since FEBRUARY? I guess i got distracted with my new homeschooling blog. But here I am and i'm on a new mission. First, I need to acknowledge what was stolen from me. My trust of men. My memories of childhood. My ability to feel loved. My ability to function fully intimately with my husband without unwanted psychological intrusions. My confidence in myself. My ability to look anyone in the eye. My ability to have a healthy relationship with food. Me, the friend.

Homeschooling Works

Homeschooling Works has been blessed because so many people have allowed us to help their homeschool journeys by presenting conferences, used book sales, picnics and a homeschool scholarship program for the past 17 years. Those things are a proud part of our past but not part of our future. Thank you to the dozens of people who labored with us, thank you to the hundreds of people who came to the events, thank you to God for using us to help reach across generations.
