Let Me Introduce Myself | Beresford Job
https://beresfordjob.wordpress.com/let-me-introduce-myself
Let Me Introduce Myself. My Encounter With Cancer. Let Me Introduce Myself. 8211; is still up and running and will remain so for the foreseeable future. So hey…Elvis is in the building….and Beresford is Blogging! But whereas folk obviously know who Elvis is, I imagine that just about everyone and his dog has yet to hear of me. So who am I? 8217; Anyway, the theology of romanticism aside, I sure got predestined/elected/soundly doctrinally superglued (or whatever) to the right wife. It’s what defines...

Subjects | Ohana Home Education
https://lillbjorne.wordpress.com/subjects
Get me outta here! Ohana means family. Family means no-one gets left behind, or forgotten. What do we do? The following pages are broken down into individual subject areas, but we actually find that our “school-day” is not broken up into different lessons but merges into one; and lots of study topics have cross-curricula links. I also quite like looking at our learning across the ‘areas of learning’ that were in the original Early Years curriculum:. Personal, Social and Spiritual. Enter your comment here.

Maths | Ohana Home Education

Get me outta here! Ohana means family. Family means no-one gets left behind, or forgotten. What do we do? Maths is probably the one area that makes me question my competence to teach! It’s one of the reasons that I opted for a Scandinavian Studies degree and not a Teacher Training degree! Usborne: “Number Lotto” 7.99. Usborne: “Counting Train Floor Puzzle”. Story-books for Young Children. 8220;Each Peach Pear Plum” by Janet and Alan Ahlberg (Fontana). The “Spot” Series by Eric Hill (Puffin). Usborne Firs...

Celtic | Ohana Home Education
https://lillbjorne.wordpress.com/resources/celtic
Get me outta here! Ohana means family. Family means no-one gets left behind, or forgotten. What do we do? Our family’s heritage is a big old mixture of English, French, a sprinkling of Jewish from way back, and a big dose of Celtic from Ireland and Northumbria, and now of course that we live in the Celtic nation of Cornwall, we are even more aware of the Celtic-ness of our nature. Eldest son learned Irish dancing for a while, and husband has been known to play the fiddle! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Some of them we have used personally and can recommend, the rest are by recommendations of others who have used them. 8216; Resource Bank: Using the Bible in the Primary Curriculum. 8216; The Shorter Catechism Activity Book: Learning the Truth with Puzzl...

KS3 | Ohana Home Education
https://lillbjorne.wordpress.com/resources/ks3
Get me outta here! Ohana means family. Family means no-one gets left behind, or forgotten. What do we do? In this section, we’ll be adding resources for early secondary school-age, or ‘seniors’, or key-stage 3, that is approximately ages 12-14. The only series that I’m aware of that covers most subjects at keys stage 3 is CGP, Communication Group Publications. I have to say that I am not a fan of CGP books at all, but they do have the advantage of being relatively cheap and easily available. Balancing Cu...
