The Homespun House: Home Tour. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. DIY Curtain Finials from Wooden Toy Parts. I'm finally back to share my DIY curtain rods with you! These were a fun project to work on, and paired with the new curtains, they really make a big impact in the room. The best part? The materials for the rods cost under $11 per window and it took only an afternoon to make them (ok, so that's two parts)! When I started out, I really wanted to make my own rods from a thick wood dowel, brackets like this.

Homespun by Laura: DIY Painted Initial Pillow

http://www.homespunbylaura.blogspot.com/2015/07/diy-painted-initial-pillow.html

The Homespun House: Home Tour. Friday, July 31, 2015. DIY Painted Initial Pillow. Hello and happy last day of July! So without further ado, here’s how I made the pillow that sits on the upholstered chair. In our recently redecorated den. I started by gathering the supplies:. Linen and thread for making the pillow cover. Paint dish and popsicle stick for mixing paint. Unused puppy pad for covering my desk. They're excellent to use for painting projects because unlike newspapers, nothing leaks through them!

Handell With Care: Content

http://handellwithcare.blogspot.com/2012/11/content.html

Saturday, November 10, 2012. But, I feel so blessed to get to teach these children about the Lord and to watch them grow in their relationship with Christ. I am also loving getting to form relationships with some new mom friends and their children, and am just so content with life right now! It is so much fun to watch Mary Scott and her "friends" learn to play and interact with one another. No matter how many times we ride this train it is so exciting every time! LOVE watching these two grow as friends!

Handell With Care: January 2012

http://handellwithcare.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 24, 2012. When I went to pick Mary Scott up today she ran over to a little boy right when we are about to leave and kept tapping him and saying "Caden" with a huge grin on her face! The lady who keeps her said they love to call out each other's names. And of course like a true Jackson woman she went after an older man (he is 2). I couldn't wait to call Kevin and tell him! Handell With Care: October 2012

http://handellwithcare.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 14, 2012. Mary Scott had a nasty stomach bug on Friday evening, which prevented us from going to see family this weekend. We hated not getting to go and see family, but since everyone felt fine on Sunday afternoon we decided to venture out and go to the fair. Mary Scott had a blast! I didn't think she would be able to ride any rides yet, but she was. The carnies didn't seem to care if you were an inch or two short, which worked in our favor:). This girl LOVED riding the pony! When Pintere...

Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Now for my soapbox- Since I have announced I am going part-time, and I am sure after reading this (admit you thought it) people are going to think we are ready for another. Handell With Care: Thanksgiving

http://handellwithcare.blogspot.com/2012/12/thanksgiving.html

Tuesday, December 18, 2012. This post is way late, but I have had trouble with pictures uploading from blogger. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving, and got to see lots of family. We started the day before Thanksgiving with a trip to the zoo with Meme, Noah, and Owen, Mary Scott's two oldest cousins. She loves being around her cousins, and it was a lot of fun to see her play with them, and to see how much trouble she and Owen are going to get into! Owen and Mary Scott riding the train at the zoo. Thursday, December 20, 2012. She also loved the candy that got thrown. Daddy and Mary Scott. The next day we had the parade in Lexington, which we love, because we can walk from our house. Mary Scott again loved the bands and they had therapy dogs, which she loved getting to pet. This was a fantastic way to start off the Christmas season. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Handell With Care: February 2012

http://handellwithcare.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 26, 2012. Saturday after her nap I decided to take her for a treat. We went up the road the newly remodeled McDonald's. She loved her ice cream and would have eaten the whole thing if I had let her. Wednesday, February 15, 2012. I knew she would love seeing the animals, and she also loved the "ights." Ever since downtown Lexington put up Christmas lights we talk about "ights" daily as we drive through downtown and anywhere else we see lights. A great time was had by all! I tried it again...

Handell With Care: June 2012

http://handellwithcare.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 26, 2012. I have been planning to potty train Mary Scott this summer for a LONG time! I have potty trained many children at school, based on a study done by Azrin and Fox who potty trained people with developmental disabilities. It is a very no-nonsense approach that works! 1) Once you start you throw the diapers OUT! Pull-ups can be worn for naps and night-time ONLY. 4) Talk about it before you start and let them watch you potty, let them sit on the potty. Once she got it, she got it, and ...
