The Hoosier Report: Purdue 81, Indiana 67.
http://hoosierreport.blogspot.com/2009/02/purdue-81-indiana-67.html
Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Sunday, February 22, 2009. Purdue 81, Indiana 67. Here's the box score. For booing the Cornell player who knocked Verdell Jones out cold with a legal screen, so I don't think I'm a complete homer for thinking the Mackey crowd badly overreacted to a legal play. As for the individuals:. Verdell Jones has played well in the last two games. He scored 16 points on 7-12 from the field. He had 4 turnovers but 5 assists. Posted by John M. Doug Yeskie's IU page.

The Hoosier Report: Senior night: Kyle Taber.
http://hoosierreport.blogspot.com/2009/03/senior-night-kyle-taber.html
Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Monday, March 2, 2009. Senior night: Kyle Taber. A more comprehensive Michigan State preview will follow (as if it matters), probably later tonight. Tonight will be a strange senior night to follow a strange season. Kyle Taber came to IU. As a walk-on, spent a redshirt. Season with a knee injury, and then played not a single significant minute in the next 2.5 seasons. First eight Big Ten games. There have been times that I have thought Crean. View my co...

The Hoosier Report: A phone call?
http://hoosierreport.blogspot.com/2009/02/phone-call.html
Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Thanks to the tip from Jared from Midwest Sports Fans. And also discussed on Inside the Hall. The Indianapolis Star is reporting. Self-reported an impermissible phone call. Here's the NCAA self-report form. I tend to agree with ITH. McLeod made what was the third call of the week to Bawa. Had made a call on that Sunday, and again on Wednedsay. Also, if self-reports of these sorts of violations are front page news, perhaps t...

The Hoosier Report: Penn State 65, Indiana 55.
http://hoosierreport.blogspot.com/2009/01/penn-state-65-indiana-55.html
Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Monday, January 19, 2009. Penn State 65, Indiana 55. Posted by John M. After us, Iowa is the second worst team in the Big Ten, especially with Cyrus Tate out in the short term. And after that, even though theyre much improved, Northwestern represents probably our second-best chance for a win. Michigan and Penn State at home were probably our third-best chances, but theyre the kind of inconsistent clubs that maybe we can surprise on the road. Illinois: H...

The Hoosier Report: Hummel out?
http://hoosierreport.blogspot.com/2009/02/hummel-out.html
Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Saturday, February 21, 2009. The media and the Purdue sports information office seem to be at odds on this issue, but Jeff Washburn of the Lafayette Courier Journal reports on his blog. Posted by John M. It is bad for him bad accidents happen, you can not avoid them. September 25, 2009 at 3:03 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). E-mail me at h-o-o-s-i-e-r-r-e-p-o-r-t at s-b-c-g-l-o-b-a-l dot net. The Hoosier Report: The Mike Davis of Deadspin.
http://hoosierreport.blogspot.com/2009/02/mike-davis-of-deadspin.html
Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. The Mike Davis of Deadspin. I didn't mention it yesterday because the Inside the Hall guys had it surrounded. As the ITH guys note, was a gem. Chandler contended:. Bob Knight would have suspended Dumes before the season (even though the conduct for which Dumes was suspended began in the Northwestern game);. The system's not designed for sleepy backwaters like Bloomington, Indiana, to have powerhouse teams. Wow, thanks, Rick!

Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Saturday, February 21, 2009. Current record: 20-6 (9-4). 2007-08 record: 24-7 (15-3) (lost to Xavier in second round of NCAA Tournament). Series: Purdue leads 107-84. Win: 2/19/2008 (77-68 in Bloomington. Last Purdue win: 2/15/2007 (81-68 in West Lafayette). Win in West Lafayette: 3/1/2006 (70-59). TV: 2 pm Saturday, BTN. As I said, I don't have much time today, and this game probably doesn't warrant it. Purdue is much better than IU. Posted by John M.

http://hoosierreport.blogspot.com/2009/02/northwestern-75-indiana-53.html
Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Thursday, February 26, 2009. Northwestern 75, Indiana 53. Here's the box score. IU looked good in the first 10 minutes, but NU dominated the last 30 minutes of the game and won for the first time at Assembly Hall, and the first time in Bloomington since 1968. Lake the Posts has an understandably joyful post on the significance of the win. Posted by John M. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). No hypens in the actual e-mail address). Doug Yeskie's IU page.

The Hoosier Report: Indiana 72, Cornell 57.
http://hoosierreport.blogspot.com/2008/12/indiana-72-cornell-57.html
Unofficial musings on Indiana University Athletics. Monday, December 1, 2008. Indiana 72, Cornell 57. Here are the stats. Turnover problems continued, and against a team not known for its defense. IU turned the ball over on nearly 30 percent of its possession, second-worst on the season after the St. Joseph's game. Most importantly, IU finished strong. After blowing big leads against IUPUI and Chaminade, it was encouraging to see IU finish an opponent that was on the ropes. Posted by John M. Michigan Sta...
