Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, like all muscular dystrophies, causes weakening of the muscles. DMD is a recessive genetic mutation that occurs on the X chromosome. As a result, it almost exclusively affects boys. Unfortunately for the boys who have been diagnosed with DMD, it is the most severe of all the muscular dystrophies:. They die earlier, most boy’s with DMD die in their mid 20’s.

Our surrogacy journey to help Hailey! Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Before I get into the update I wanted to post a quick update on donations. Since our last blog update with donations the total was $856.49. Donation from KW $40 (1.46). Total Current donation total is $895.03. I am so very sad for the Kent family.
