Thursday, June 25, 2015. Today was scratched the first thing off our summer bucket list. I'm sure it won't be our only visit to a zoo, but it was smooth start to summer. The ladies are quite familiar with our zoo, so we journaled for a bit this morning before we left. One of our ladies was adamant we see the new flamingos. Done We also chatted with chimps:. She has definitely become much more fearless and outgoing. I love it! We had a nice time. For once it wasn't hot or crowded! Is it the age?

Thursday, July 9, 2015. July 4th, 2015. The fourth of July was rather low-key this year. Happy Independence Day! We made our way to the fair the day before, spending entirely too much money for a small town fair. The ladies had a great time on the rides and we added another fish to our tank, Oriole. The following morning was full of excitement waiting for the parade. One pup was thrilled to accompany us. Thankfully it wasn't hot, although we did catch some drizzle at the end. Softball next year anyone?

I have been alone with my two beautiful children inside a nice warm home. It is sunny outside but bitter cold.
