Hops, Fig, and a Duck. Eat, sleep, walk to Maine. Worth the Wait, Part II. Worth the Wait, Part III. July 18, 2011. Anne reaching the summit and encountering a tower for weather instruments. We spent over four hours descending in a windy world that looked just like this. The hut at the base of Mt. Madison was our goal for the day. We managed to get this shot just as the clouds broke. The sunset that night was incredible, although I’m afraid the photo didn’t capture it. About real.pretty.food. I kinda thi...

Hops, Fig, and a Duck. Eat, sleep, walk to Maine. We took just a few of these panoramic photos on our hike using an app for the iPhone that stitches together a series of overlapping shots. Bed and Breakfast in Montana
May 17, 2012. 8220;Mere color, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways” Oscar Wilde. Mere color will not do. Along with color, we need meaning and definite form. Our new logo takes care of the form, but what is it we really want to say? We’re a bed and breakfast, so obviously we want to convey cleanliness, freshness, deliciousness, and with our mountain locale, rustic luxury. What colors insinuate delicious vittles?
