Arnica in the home garden | The Seed Screen
http://horizonherbsblog.com/2013/01/26/arnica-in-the-home-garden
Richo's World of Seeds, Weeds and Deeds. Arnica in the home garden. January 26, 2013. Those living at altitude will do well to concentrate on the A. montana, which makes large flowers that are easy to pick and make lots of medicine. Those living at lower altitudes might have better luck with A. chamissonis, which is a bit easier to grow. Given a suitable soil and sun exposure, this plant will thrive even at sea level. Arnica in the home garden" (1). June 11, 2013 at 4:03 am. Arnica is very useful herbs.

Who Am I? | The Seed Screen

Richo's World of Seeds, Weeds and Deeds. March 4, 2013. Am I this body,. Womb to tomb,. Protoplasm, orgasm, proliferation. And ultimately, decomposition? Am I this ego,. Like a chunk of space debris. Making a bright streak of oxidation,. Burning through the atmosphere of praise, defense and fear? Am I this mind,. Rendered sharp in practice,. And memories until they bleed? Am I this emotion,. The inner tide of hate and desire,. Twisting me into something I am not,. Controlled only by discretion? Um, the p...

Tomatoes, Cherry Red: March 2012
http://tomatoescherryred.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 30, 2012. Some storms came and went, but my topsoil arrived on time, and Leah ended up being able to come down for the weekend from Kent. I bought an extra shovel, and I hope she's ready to get dirt-y, cause we've got a lot of beds to fill. Hmm, that whole sentence sounds a bit off. The best laid plans. Earlier in the week it seemed we were destined for nice weather this weekend, and we might get another strong work week in on the greenhouse/outdoors. So, help or no help, I've got work to do.

Tomatoes, Cherry Red: April 2012
http://tomatoescherryred.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 24, 2012. These guys have just been sitting in my passively heated (i.e. whatever heat the house happens to absorb) dining room on the table by the window, and a little over a week later, they look like the photo above. Why feed pumpkins to hogs, you ask? Why, cause they're so damn cute when they eat them. Sunday, April 22, 2012. This weekend found me graced with the bounty of a house full of loved ones. My sister and father were both up to visit/work from Cincinnati, and Leah came dow...

Doing it yourself and loving it: How it all started
http://homegrownnaturezone.blogspot.com/2013/03/funny-how-things-just-come-together.html
Doing it yourself and loving it. Our adventures in trying to do all kinds of things ourselves, and experiencing the nature of the backyard in edible, entertaining, constructive, sustainable, and enjoyable ways. Thursday, March 21, 2013. How it all started. I was so excited to then find Grow Write Guild. I don't remember how it all started, but I remember having plants in my bedroom. My mother always had some houseplants and I do have memories of being out in her garden when I was very small. I do...I gre...

Tomatoes, Cherry Red: June 2011
http://tomatoescherryred.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 20, 2011. Seriously. F*@k 'em. I'm over it. Never have the malevolent forces of nature conspired so uniformly against the survival of a single living organism as they have against the common apple tree. Came home last night after a weekend away to find that the only one (out of thirty or so) apple trees that had managed any kind of significant growth since planting had been ravaged and broken completely in half. presumably by deer. Tomatoes, Cherry Red: First sprouts in the garden...
http://tomatoescherryred.blogspot.com/2012/04/first-sprouts-in-garden.html
Wednesday, April 18, 2012. First sprouts in the garden. Also, notably, the Aronia is in full bloom (for the first time since I planted it two years ago), which will hopefully result in me getting to taste aronia berries for the first time (if the birds don't get them first. which they probably will). Thursday, March 10, 2011. Talking about my generation. I am 28 years old, and not prone to weeping, per say. Tomatoes, Cherry Red: February 2011
http://tomatoescherryred.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. We've had nothing but melting ice and snow for the past month around here, so the ground is already fully saturated. So when mother nature decided to dump another 12 hours of heavy rain on us last night, the water level finally started going up. I live reasonably close to a creek in very flat Ohio farm country, so stuff gets swallowed up fast. Fortunately, my house is on enough elevation that everything remained dry, even the basement. More fortunately, the power stayed on ...

Tomatoes, Cherry Red: October 2011
http://tomatoescherryred.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 8, 2011. Now that we finally, finally (finally) got a break in the weather here in Central Ohio (meaning it hasn't pissed cold rain consistently for at least 24 hours running), we're jumping on the opportunity to get major construction begun on the greenhouse. The weather this weekend was absolutely gorgeous, with nary a cloud to be seen, temps in the cofortably seventies/eighties, and a pleasant breeze. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tomatoes, Cherry Red: April 2011
http://tomatoescherryred.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 4, 2011. No time, no time at all. Just back from a stellar weekend in Cleveland with Leah. Long form forest walks, some great live music, some hours at the Botanical Gardens and Art Museum, and a gutbusting supper at Melt Bar and Grilled hopefully gave me the shot in the arm to weather out these last few weeks as Winter and Spring keep fighting for control of the weather. I fly out for LA right after work on Friday, so I have a mere four odd after-work evenings to get everything planted....

Horizon Heritage Management was formed in mid 2011 meaning it is a new horizon in the Aboriginal heritage industry. We have ambitions to become a key independent heritage consultancy specialising in Anthropology and Archaeology in Western Australia. It is important to investigate, understand and document Aboriginal people’s connection to country and the presence of any Aboriginal sites on the land. At its simplest, archaeology can be defined as the study of past human behaviours through material remains.
