SEPTEMBER 27, 2007. SOURCE: DVD (OWN COLLECTION). I know for a goddamn fact that Dr. Giggles. Was a Universal movie when it was originally released, so why it’s on Warner’s box set is beyond me. But I finally own a copy of this oft-referenced movie (my dream – to write and direct Dr. Giggles vs. Shocker. Which would be nothing but a 90 minute punfest between the title characters), and having not seen it for 14 years, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. And poor Glenn Quinn, who played Doyle on Angel.

AUGUST 17, 2011. SOURCE: THEATRICAL (REGULAR SCREENING). I love that the only one of the “Bloody Disgusting Selects” titles that I saw before its acquisition. Which meant if I fell asleep for too long, I wouldn’t be able to review it and thus my streak would be over. But hey, I like a challenge. Anyway, I think this is the best of the “series” yet, or at least tied with the enjoyable Rammbock. Which was also the first. It helps that I just watched a not-very-good found footage movie ( Grave Encounters.

HMAD's 3rd Annual End Of Year Awards! 2009 was a pretty great year for horror. Paranormal Activity. Kicked all kinds of ass, Zombieland. Became the highest grossing zombie film of all time (even with inflation factored in), and for the most part, R rated horror films outperformed their PG-13 competition. Unless, of course, you count New Moon. As a horror movie, then 2009 sucked, since the goddamn thing managed to gross nearly 300 fucking million dollars, pretty much more than everything else combined.

Judging by the financial stats on IMDB (this didn't even make half of its $25 million budget back), it seems that audiences in 1985 were just not buying an Oz. Isn't a classic and resides in one of my least-loved horror subgenres, but viewers who like thrillers and slow-burn storytelling should get a kick out of it. And you'll be near the truth. My #tallyteers viewing log. Tracking my movie views as part of the #tallyteers. Thursday, February 10, 2011. Look at their eyes. Clearly one of the best films I have seen in a long time. Original story, great performances and plenty of brutal violence. What more can you ask for? The key thing in this movie is that the violence is part of the whole story, and not gratuitous. Horror movi - reviews of foreign horror. Torsdag 19 februari 2009. One Missed Call: Final. The third movie in the Asian teen horror series that is quite okay. The teens get phone messages from themselves in the future - with a clue of how they are going to die. Their only chance of surviving is to forward the message to someone else.
