Bear died two days ago. He was my first horse and one of my life’s best teachers about not only how to ride, but how learning to ride is a mirror to all the lessons I need to live a more courageous life. Maybe Bear’s nickering will be the first thing I hear when I get there. Horse decisions are hard to make.
