Friday, October 26, 2012. Posted by Hortus Carmeli. Beautiful time in your garden. Im discovering Molinias anew. The ones in the first photo will become a gold color, yes? October 27, 2012 at 3:45 PM. Thank you very much. This year the weather was exceptionally mild, so the garden is exceptionally beautiful. Those three ones in the first picture are Molinia caerulea Variegata. At the end of the season they become a gold color. October 28, 2012 at 10:21 PM. October 31, 2012 at 3:43 AM. Maps of our garden.

Saturday, February 16, 2008. Maps of the garden. 1 Paths and buildings. We live four meters under the level of the street, shown by the barrier above. The earth is kept back by a high retaining brick wall. We divided the slope in a number of small, irregular terraces, thus one feels this place much larger than it is in reality.', BGCOLOR, '#7777aa', MOUSEOFF, ABOVE, WIDTH, 350)" onmouseout="return nd();" shape="rect" coords="22, 584, 42, 604". Similarly to the high retaining wall, both the little plantin...

a garden diary: August 2012

Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Artemisia lactiflora 'Weiße Dame'. Artemisia lactiflora 'Weiße Dame'. This is how the airy white flower is called in the middle of the picture, behind the dahlia. In contrast to the other Artemisiae, this kind likes the cool and humid climate. It requires a good supply of water, but it does not need a constantly wet soil, like, say, a Ligularia. It rewards good soil. But at us it was also beautiful on sand. Posted by Hortus Carmeli. Sunday, August 12, 2012. Maps of our garden.

a garden diary: September 2012
http://agardendiary.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 28, 2012. Three years ago I started experimenting with planting on the street, in front of the early summer-blooming old rose bed some drought-tolerant perennials flowering in late summer and autumn. In this year’s extreme heat and drought this bed got absolutely no watering, and yet its plants not only live, but are beautiful, proving to be drought-tolerant not only in the books, but also in the reality. At us it is usually much larger than what D...
