Saturday, April 18, 2015. The futuristic buildings are only about 15 years old, but Valencia is loaded with traditional architecture as well. Thursday, April 30, 2015. FARO (not the card game). Urk My back seized this morning as I bent over the sink to brush my teeth. I’m sure it’s a delayed reaction to the trauma of the fall. I’m falling apart! Part of the shopping district without, thank goodness, the ubiquitous wavy tiles. These were easier on the eye (and stomach). 160; A docaria is a confectionary maker. Friday, April 17, 2015. Goodbye to beautiful Granada and on the bus for the long slog (300 miles) to Valencia. As we drove along the motorway just outside Granada, we got a nice view of their Sierras. Those of you who have seen the recent (June 2015) Disney movie “Tomorrowland” will recognize this as one of the backdrop sets for the film. Below is the Agora, a sort of convention hall and performing arts space. Sitting in the middle of the lagoon is the Hemiferic, site of an Imax theatre and planetarium.
